WATER WORKS
I have long admired the work of eminent Japanese scientist, Masaru
Emoto. He maintains that water has a memory, sensitivity, even a
'consciousness'. These are far fetched concepts to some. But to me, as an
astrologer, they make much sense. Doctor Emoto says "During over twenty
years of research of water crystal photographic technology,
I have witnessed that water can turn positive when it
receives pure vibration no matter how far away it is sent from.
Masaru Emoto is known for his claims that human
consciousness has an effect on the molecular structure of water. Emoto’s
hypothesis has evolved over the years of his research. Initially Dr. Emoto
claimed that high-quality water forms beautiful and intricate crystals, while
low-quality water has difficulty forming crystals. According to Dr. Emoto, an
ice crystal of distilled water exhibits a basic hexagonal structure with no
intricate branching. Emoto claims that positive changes to water crystals can
be achieved through prayer, music or by attaching written words to a container
of water.
At noon today Dr Emoto would like you to join him in a
prayer to the water, now being used to cool the reactors at Fukushima. He
believes it could make a difference. So do I, Jonathan Cainer 2011.

'Try Reiki' Dr.
Oz tells millions on TV
INTRODUCTION:
Dr. Mehmet Oz, a renowned cardiovascular surgeon and host of the third (or possibly second) most
popular syndicated television program in America, this week
introduced millions of viewers to the natural healing practice of Reiki as part
of a program on alternative and natural remedies. The Dr.
Oz Show included not only a segment featuring a demonstration
of Reiki, but an emphatic recommendation to "try
Reiki" as the #1 "Oz's Order" at the show's conclusion.
Dr. Mehmet Oz, a renowned cardiovascular surgeon and host of
one of the most popular syndicated television shows in America, recently
introduced millions of viewers to the natural healing practice of Reiki as part
of a program on alternative and natural remedies. The Dr. Oz show not only
included a segment featuring a demonstration by Reiki Teacher, he emphatically recommended viewers to "try
Reiki, which he described as "my favorite treatment that could change the
future of medicine forever."
Dr. Oz said of Reiki "If we put cupping in the hybrid
category between bio-manipulation and energy," Oz said as the Reiki segment
began, "It provides me with a good segue to what I think may be ultimately
the most important alternative medicine treatment of all. And we are embarking
on this whole new vista of opportunities, it broadens dramatically the spectrum
of where we might be able to go in our bodies, and this is the area of energy
medicine.” .When introducing Pamela he informed the audience and viewers that
"Pamela has actually been to the operating room with me where we have done
Reiki. He pointed out that, like Pamela, "my wife Lisa is a Reiki master,
so when the kids get sick, or when I'm out of sorts, she actually comes by, I can't
even tell when she's treating me, sometimes she secretly treats me, if she
thinks I'm in a bad mood and I see hands moving around, but I actually feel the
heat.” Pamela explained that "Reiki is a balancing practice, and so rather
than addressing the headache or whatever else is the problem, what it does is
it influences the person's overall system toward balance, and then as the
system becomes more balanced, symptoms tend to fall away. Then over time, for
example, if you get headaches, you may find that you get them less
frequently."
During the demonstration Dr. Oz asked the volunteer recipient,
if she felt anything to which she replied "Yes, my headache's going
away".
By way of explaining energy and its importance he said
"Let me show you why I think energy has been overlooked," Oz
continued, turning to reveal a large microscopic image. "This is an image
of a cell. And it's beautiful, isn't it? You see that cell there, and it looks
colourful, and look at the blue pattern on the outside. That's the membrane of
the cell. That blue area on the outside differentiates life, because it
separates no energy on the outside from energy that's present on the inside. So
if you think about it in that way, if the membrane of a cell keeps an energy
balance between inside and outside, which is what defines life, if we put those
cells together, into an organ, shouldn't the organ have energy? And if you put
those organs into a body, shouldn't our bodies have energy? And so, many of the
ailments that we suffer from can be treated through energy therapies, which
will become much more prevalent over the next few years."
At the show's conclusion, Oz did his usual "Oz's
Orders" segment: "Here are the three things I want you to remember
from today's show. First off, try Reiki. This alternative medicine treatment
can manipulate your energy and cure what ails you." And he recommended in
relation to the other segments of his show, that viewers boost their
metabolisms and check their blood pressure. "Those are my doctor's orders."Whereas Reiki Practitioners know that Reiki is not an alternative
rather a complementary treatment, that the energy is not manipulated rather it
goes where it is needed and Reiki is not a cure, I believe that this exposure
for Reiki to millions of viewers will lead to an increase in interest in this
wonderful healing modality. Hopefully it will also encourage more of our
Australian Medics and Surgeons to take a look at Reiki.
Autonomic nervous system changes during Reiki treatment: a preliminary
study.
SOURCE:
Institute of Neurological
Sciences, South Glasgow University Hospital NHS Trust, 1345 Govan Road, Glasgow
G51 4TF, Scotland, UK.
OBJECTIVES:
To investigate if a complementary therapy, Reiki,
has any effect on indices of autonomic nervous system function.
DESIGN:
Blind trial.
SETTING/LOCATION:
Quiet room in an out-patient clinic.
SUBJECTS:
Forty-five (45) subjects assigned at random into
three groups. Interventions: Three treatment conditions: no treatment (rest
only); Reiki treatment by experienced Reiki practitioner; and placebo treatment
by a person with no knowledge of Reiki and who mimicked the Reiki treatment.
OUTCOME MEASURES:
Quantitative measures of autonomic nervous system
function such as heart rate, cardiac vagal tone, blood pressure, cardiac
sensitivity to baroreflex, and breathing activity were recorded continuously
for each heartbeat. Values during and after the treatment period were compared
with baseline data.
RESULTS:
Heart rate and diastolic blood pressure decreased
significantly in the Reiki group compared to both placebo and control groups.
CONCLUSIONS:
The study indicates that Reiki has some effect on
the autonomic nervous system. However, this was a pilot study with relatively
few subjects and the changes were relatively small. The results justify
further, larger studies to look at the biological effects of Reiki treatment.

This study revealed a significant reduction in diastolic blood pressure and
heart rate in the Reiki group that didn’t appear in the placebo group or the
control group, thus tending to indicate that Reiki created an important effect
that was not caused by suggestion.

Sensitive
instruments have been developed that can detect the minute energy fields around the human body. Of particular
importance is the SQUID magnetometer which is capable of detecting tiny
bio-magnetic fields associated with physiological activities in the body. This
is the same field that sensitive individuals have been describing for thousands
of years, but that scientists have ignored because there was no objective way
to measure it. http://www.reiki.org/reikinews/ScienceMeasures.htm

Healthy Living, a
newsletter for Ohio hospitals and clinics, reports that “Reiki is gaining
acceptance in medical settings as a cost-effective way to improve patient
care.” (July 2005).
The International Centre for Reiki Training surveyed “America’s Best Hospitals,” as ranked by U.S.
News and World Report, to discover that 60% of them currently had a
hospital-based Reiki program in place. Of those that did not, 50% reported that
they would consider it.
Both hands-on and distant Reiki treatments resulted in
statistically-significant decrease in the symptoms of psychological depression
and self-perceived stress, and the treatments had the long-term effect [Shore]. The nature of psychological effects
arising during a Reiki session were studied, and anxiety was shown to reduce
after treatments [Engebretson, Wardell]. Certain physiological changes were
associated with receiving Reiki treatments, including decrease in systolic
blood pressure, increase in salivary IgA levels and decrease in salivary
cortisol after treatments, increase in skin temperature and decrease in
electromyographic activity during treatments [Wardell].

Doctor Uses Reiki
By Dr. R. B. Paty, Chief
Medical Officer
I am a medical doctor and have been in
practice for 28 years. I have come across many patients who are not able to be
cured by any of our conventional methods.
Before learning Reiki, I suffered with
migraine headaches for 20 years, specifically I would get them on the day of my
fast. After becoming a Reiki practitioner, my migraines have disappeared for
the last four years.
A couple who are my patients, ages 70 and
62 had good results with Reiki. He would begin his mornings with alcoholic
drinks and his wife had severe arthritis. She was unable to sit on the floor
and had very limited mobility for 25 years. I began to give them Reiki as part
of their treatment. They have both become Reiki practitioners, and the husband no longer has the desire for alcohol. The wife
is more comfortable and has greater mobility. http://www.reiki.org/reikinews/doctor.html
